The Workshop
Where pieces are made, remade and brought back to life, by hand, in the heart of Dublin.
A working jewellers
One of the things that sets Corr's apart is our workshop. Alterations, repairs and bespoke commissions are carried out on-site, where a small team keeps a fading tradition alive. There is only a small handful of working goldsmiths left in the city, we wanted to keep that at the centre of what we do. We are working jewellers. It's who we are.
Master Goldsmiths
Our Master Goldsmiths
Our workshop is led by two master goldsmiths, Bernard Mainey and Terry McDonald, between them a lifetime of craft, carried out by hand in the heart of Dublin.
Bernard Mainey has been a goldsmith since the age of sixteen. Six decades on, his artistry continues at the bench in the heart of Dublin, passing on a craft learned over a lifetime. Among the highlights of his career was his hand in the creation of the Fingal Chain of Office: a piece worked in nine-carat gold, designed by Patrick Flood, Bernard's mentor at the time, as the result of a goldsmith competition held in 1993.
Working alongside Bernard at the Corr's bench, Terry McDonald brings his own decades of goldsmithing to every commission, repair and restoration.
